What information is collected
From Here is operated from British Columbia, Canada. From Here collects different information depending on how you interact with the service.
If you subscribe to the From Here mailing list, From Here collects your email address.
If you complete the Find Your Pathway questions, From Here collects your email address, your answers, your pathway result, and anything you choose to write in the optional note. Your pathway result is calculated in your browser and shown to you on screen. Your email address and pathway result are added to the From Here mailing list so your result and occasional emails can be sent to you. Your answers are stored with your submission. If you write a note, the creator reads it personally.
If you purchase and complete the career clarity assessment, From Here collects your name, email address, payment information, and your assessment responses. Assessment responses include the answers you provide about your career situation, values, strengths, circumstances, and related topics. These responses are used to generate your personalized report.
Basic technical information is also collected automatically when you visit the website, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This information is collected by the website hosting platform (Squarespace) and is used to understand how the site is being used.
From Here also uses the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta, on the Find Your Pathway page (pathway.fromhereco.ca) and the assessment page (begin.fromhereco.ca). The Meta Pixel collects information such as your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you visit, and whether you complete certain actions, such as joining the mailing list or purchasing the assessment. See the Cookies and tracking technologies section below for more detail.
How your information is used
Your information is used to deliver the Service you purchased, to send you the emails you signed up for, to process your payment, and to generate your personalized report. Your email address may also be used to send you updates about From Here if you have opted in to receive them.
Information collected by the Meta Pixel is used to measure how well From Here's ads on Facebook and Instagram perform and to help Meta show those ads to people likely to be interested in the Service.
Your assessment responses are processed by AI to generate your report. The creator reviews each report before it is delivered, as a quality assurance step. Your responses are not used to train AI models.
From Here does not sell or rent your personal information. Your name, email address, payment information, assessment responses, and Find Your Pathway responses are not shared with Meta or any other advertising platform. The Meta Pixel does send the website activity described above to Meta, and Meta may also use that information for its own purposes, as described in Meta's Privacy Policy.
Third-party service providers
To deliver the Service, your information is processed by the following third-party providers:
Netlify hosts the Find Your Pathway page and the assessment page, and processes form submissions. Data is stored in the United States.
Anthropic (Claude) provides AI report generation. Data is processed in the United States.
Stripe provides payment processing. Data is processed in the United States.
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) provides email marketing and mailing list management. Data is stored in the United States.
Resend provides transactional email delivery, such as purchase confirmations. Data is processed in the United States.
Squarespace provides website hosting and analytics. Data is stored in the United States.
Meta (Meta Platforms, Inc.) provides advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel. Data is processed in the United States.
Proton Mail provides business email. Data is stored in Switzerland.
Each provider processes your information to perform its function for From Here. Some providers may also use certain information for their own purposes, such as preventing fraud or improving their services, as described in their own privacy policies. Meta's use of information is described above.
How your information is protected
From Here takes reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. All data transmitted between your browser and the From Here website is encrypted using SSL/TLS. Third-party service providers used by From Here are selected in part for their security practices, and each processes data in accordance with their own security policies and applicable laws.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While From Here strives to protect your personal information, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Cross-border data transfers
From Here is operated from Canada. As described above, your information is transferred to and processed by service providers located in the United States and Switzerland. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
Data retention
From Here retains your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and your information will be removed from the mailing list.
Assessment responses and report data are retained for a reasonable period to allow for customer support, refund requests, and service improvement. Payment records are retained as required by Canadian tax law.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal information From Here holds about you. You can ask for inaccurate information to be corrected. You can ask for your information to be deleted, subject to any legal retention requirements. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. You can also limit advertising tracking at any time, as described in the Cookies and tracking technologies section.

If you are not satisfied with how From Here has handled your personal information, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (OIPC) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC).
Cookies and tracking technologies
The From Here website uses cookies set by Squarespace for basic site functionality and analytics.
The Find Your Pathway page and the assessment page also use the Meta Pixel. The Meta Pixel uses cookies and similar technologies to record visits and certain actions, such as joining the mailing list or completing a purchase. This information is sent to Meta and used to measure the performance of From Here's ads and to help show those ads to people likely to find the Service useful. The Meta Pixel does not receive your name, email address, assessment responses, or Find Your Pathway responses.
You can limit this tracking by:
Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings.
Managing how Meta uses information from other websites through the "Your activity off Meta technologies" setting in your Meta Accounts Centre.
Blocking the Meta Pixel will not affect your ability to purchase or complete the assessment.
Age requirement
From Here is intended for adults aged 18 and over. From Here does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If From Here becomes aware that information has been collected from someone under 18, it will be deleted promptly.
US privacy notice
From Here does not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, the Meta Pixel described in the Cookies and tracking technologies section may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under some US state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act. From Here does not share your name, email address, payment information, or assessment responses for this purpose. If you are a US resident, you can limit this sharing using the options in the Cookies and tracking technologies section. To make any other data request, please contact hello@fromhereco.ca.
International users
From Here welcomes users from anywhere in the world. The Service is designed with a Canadian and US audience in mind, and is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Users outside of Canada and the United States access the Service subject to the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
From Here may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, the updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
