What information is collected

From Here is operated from British Columbia, Canada. From Here collects different information depending on how you interact with the service.

If you subscribe to the From Here mailing list, From Here collects your email address.

If you purchase and complete the career clarity assessment, From Here collects your name, email address, payment information, and your assessment responses. Assessment responses include the answers you provide about your career situation, values, strengths, circumstances, and related topics. These responses are used to generate your personalized report.

Basic technical information is also collected automatically when you visit the website, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This information is collected by the website hosting platform (Squarespace) and is used to understand how the site is being used.

How your information is used

Your information is used to deliver the Service you purchased, to send you the emails you signed up for, to process your payment, and to generate your personalized report. Your email address may also be used to send you updates about From Here if you have opted in to receive them.

Your assessment responses are processed by AI to generate your report. The creator reviews each report before it is delivered, as a quality assurance step. Your responses are not used to train AI models.

From Here does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-party service providers

To deliver the Service, your information is processed by the following third-party providers:

Netlify hosts the assessment page and processes form submissions. Data is stored in the United States.

Anthropic (Claude API) provides AI report generation. Data is processed in the United States.

Stripe provides payment processing. Data is processed in the United States.

Kit (formerly ConvertKit) provides email marketing and mailing list management. Data is stored in the United States.

Squarespace provides website hosting and analytics. Data is stored in the United States.

Proton Mail provides business email. Data is stored in Switzerland.

Each provider processes your information only as needed to perform its function. From Here does not authorize these providers to use your information for their own purposes beyond delivering the service.

How your information is protected

From Here takes reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. All data transmitted between your browser and the From Here website is encrypted using SSL/TLS. Third-party service providers used by From Here are selected in part for their security practices, and each processes data in accordance with their own security policies and applicable laws.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While From Here strives to protect your personal information, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Cross-border data transfers

From Here is operated from Canada. As described above, your information is transferred to and processed by service providers located in the United States and Switzerland. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

Data retention

From Here retains your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and your information will be removed from the mailing list.

Assessment responses and report data are retained for a reasonable period to allow for customer support, refund requests, and service improvement. Payment records are retained as required by Canadian tax law.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal information From Here holds about you. You can ask for inaccurate information to be corrected. You can ask for your information to be deleted, subject to any legal retention requirements. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

The From Here website uses cookies set by Squarespace for basic site functionality and analytics. These cookies collect anonymized data about how visitors use the site. From Here does not use cookies for advertising or retargeting.

From Here is intended for adults aged 18 and over. From Here does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If From Here becomes aware that information has been collected from someone under 18, it will be deleted promptly.
